Proactive Patrols Tackle Nuisance Vehicles and Anti-Social Behaviour in Cheeseman Green Lane |

|
Following reports from local residents regarding anti-social behaviour involving nuisance vehicles in a car park off Cheeseman Green Lane, officers from Ashford Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out targeted and proactive patrols in the area. On Thursday 8 October 2026, officers stopped a vehicle and established that the driver only held a provisional driving licence, had no valid third-party insurance, and the vehicle did not have a valid MOT. The vehicle was seized and the driver was issued with a Traffic Offence Report. The matter will now be dealt with through the courts. Acting on further intelligence, officers conducted a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act search of the vehicle occupants. During the search, a passenger was found to be in possession of ketamine and has been dealt with accordingly. Officers continued proactive patrols in the area on Friday 9 October 2026 and stopped a second vehicle in the same car park. These results demonstrate the value of proactive neighbourhood policing and the importance of information provided by local residents. We will continue to patrol identified hotspot locations, disrupt anti-social behaviour, and take positive action against those involved in criminality. | ||
